This time of year, as it gets closer to the holidays, it seems that my senses already have one foot out the door, waiting impatiently to return home to Nova Scotia. With my mind away somewhere on the Northumberland straight, I was reading my Canadian Art Magazine, when I came to the realization that in the agenda of art openings and events, the Maritimes (count them – Newfoundland, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, and Nova Scotia) are jammed in to a one page spread with Manitoba and Saskatchewan.
There is so much going on on the East Coast; Art Out East exposes the phenomenal exhibitions, artists and events (Hello, Nocturne?!) to the rest of Canada.

    Hi Amanda,

Thanks you for this initiative. We definitly need art information to circulate in this part of the world.

Could you ad Galerie d’art Louise et Reuben-Cohen (www.umoncton.ca/umcm-ga) to the list of NB art organisations? There is also Imago Print Studio(http://imagoartistruncentre.blogspot.ca/) and Galerie Sans Nom (www.galeriesansnom.org).
We are all in Moncton and make sure art happens here as well!
